Emma has over twelve years’ experience in the third sector, with leadership roles in both local and national fundraising teams. Beginning her fundraising career at the University of Aberdeen Development Trust, Emma was responsible for delivering a calendar of stewardship and engagement for the Trust’s high value supporters.
In 2017, Emma was appointed as Capital Appeal Manager to lead Sue Ryder’s £3.9m expansion appeal to extend their neurological care facilities in Aberdeen. With a focus on major donor, corporate and trust income, the appeal was successfully completed in 2021.
Following the appeal, Emma undertook a number of national roles at Sue Ryder, including National Head of Community Fundraising, and latterly, Head of Fundraising Strategy and Development, where she led the delivery of national fundraising campaigns and strategic change projects.
Emma is currently Director of Fundraising for Charlie House, a children’s charity based in Aberdeen, where she is leading the charity’s £8m Big Build Appeal to create a respite and hospice centre for children.
