Laura Rose
Laura is Philanthropy Lead at Big Give, the UK’s leading match funding charity.
After graduating from Durham University, Laura worked for regional, national and international youth charities, developing experience in all areas of fundraising for over fifteen years. Prior to joining Big Give, Laura was Head of Philanthropy at The Prince’s Trust, leading on national Trust and Foundation partnerships as well as Big Give Campaigns.
Laura works closely with Big Give’s match funding ‘Champions’ to help them maximise their charitable giving across a wide range of causes and campaigns. These include the environment, arts and culture and women and girls, focusing on small and medium sized UK charities working locally and globally. In 2024 Big Give’s Christmas Challenge became the UK’s biggest public fundraising campaign, raising £44.7m to help over 1200 charities boost their fundraising, skills, resilience and profile.

Mentoring from a sector leader will develop my skills and networks to help ensure that Big Give achieves its potential in the coming years. A mentor will also be helpful for tackling challenges in new ways, drawing on their objective perspectives and personal experience whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the third sector.
