Christine Goldsmith

With 14 years experience in fundraising, Chrissie started her charity career in the international development sector, co-ordinating events and community fundraising. She went on to work in corporate partnerships, trusts and major gifts to enable life-changing education projects for street children, including participation in the Street Child World Cup.
Moving into the local hospice sector in 2015 allowed Chrissie the opportunity to develop strong leadership skills, building an outstanding team, while also working on a major capital campaign. Growing the trusts fundraising function with a relationship-based approach and launching a highly successful major gifts programme, were key highlights. Chrissie also relished the opportunity to proactively develop a positive team culture and collaborate with her leadership team to develop a new leadership expectations framework. A new challenge beckons and
Chrissie is now planning to set up a philanthropy programme – almost from scratch(!) - for a small local charity providing accommodation based support for adults with learnings disabilities.

This is a great opportunity to work with fundraising leadership excellence, to support and guide my professional development in the third sector. I hope to gain a wise sounding board as I embark on an exciting new challenge, setting up a philanthropy function to support local adults with learning disabilities.
